LEAD Project is a long-term leadership development initiative for High School students. Generational poverty and systemic injustice are complex problems developed over time. Rather than looking for the magic solution or a quick fix, we’re committed to the hard work of long-term, holistic ministry. That means digging deep with students over months and years to help them discover and become equipped in their God-given potential for the good of their community.
We’ve tried program-driven ministry before and found it profoundly ineffective. We scrapped our old model for Lead Project and developed a community-driven structure to walk alongside students through the difficult questions and scenarios of life. Lead Project meets in the home of our directors (Joy and Cam Hill), where we cook together and talk through the questions of life around the dinner table. This has created an environment where young men and women can mature into community leaders.
